![]() I had similar experiences in BotW, it's just that there is too much downtime in between these special moments. I don't think this question will ever really find a good answer, and I don't think it really needs to tbh. They do so much stuff, and much of it is best-in-class, so a lot is going to depend on what genre you like the most. That's all before the fact that Nintendo's output is incredibly diverse, from epic RPGs like Xenoblade to online multiplayer in Splatoon to quasi-RTS games in Pikmin. Then add on to that Era's proclivity towards more traditional guided experiences - which new Zeldas definitely aren't, and old Zeldas definitely are - and the inherent bias grows even more. Which is valid, but it's not indicative of general consensus beyond a certain age range. Nostalgia is a hell of a drug and so, on a forum where a 25 year old would be considered 'young', many people are going to default to titles they experienced whilst they were younger when talking about what they think is 'the best.' Primarily because 'the best' is just what people enjoyed the most. Seriously though, this question - especially here - is never going to get an accurate answer, if an accurate answer is even possible (it likely isn't). ![]() ![]() How can anyone possibly think TOTK is better than *game which released at a time when things were simple and my back didn't hurt so much*? It's *game I played during my childhood here* and it's not even close. ![]()
